The Montreal Canadiens have re-signed captain Saku Koivu to a $14.25-million US, three-year contract extension through the 2008-09 season.
The deal also includes a no-trade clause.
The Washington Capitals and goaltender Olaf Kolzig have agreed on a two-year contract extension.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have locked up defenceman Tomas Kaberle to a long-term contract extension.
As per club policy, financial terms were not disclosed but sources tell TSN that Kaberle, who was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, has agreed to a five-year extension that is worth $4.25 million per year.
Sources say the first three years of the extension contains an unconditional no-trade clause, which in the fourth and fifth years of the deal becomes conditional based on team performance.
