Tvära kast!

Problem: Nilsson was every bit as good as Talbot.Better in shoot outs as well.Problem:Talbot was brought here to be number one and in spit of his early poor play was given a 3 year contract Nilsson was not.
This was a mistake!
worst transaction, ever. the tool has underperformed as a starting goal tender. nilsson on the other hand, played expertly in the few games he played. as a back up goalie, he played very well.
I suppose he's gonna light it up with that Blues defense?...Vezina nominations next year!..Never fails.
If he has been traded, best of luck to him. With a strong defensive group in front of him, I wouldn't be surprised if he went on another nice run down the stretch.
Far from good value. We need strength at Goaltending. Not satisfied at all here. I'm sorry, but Broissoit, Talbot and Nilsson competing for the 2 spots would have been good next year. Unreal.
I didn't realize Edmonton was so set in goal that they'd want to move Nilsson and isn't that a poor return?
Well, quite surprising as:
1. Nilsson haven´t even hit goalie prime yet.
2. The new guy is barely younger.
3. Brossoit haven´t proven himself yet at an NHL level and needs to play more than being a clear NHL backup.
4. Talbot is still here which makes the goalie switch so extremely minor.
5. Nilsson outplayed Talbot at the start and played well in his recent AHL stint.
Maybe it's just me (no smart remarks) but this is curious. What happened to Nilsson? He looked so good earlier on. Now so quickly gone? Oh well. I guess players come and go (unless your name is Schultz-you get a raise).
Dunno and he looked good until he suddenly got benched behind Talbot, that was when his struggle started.

Interesting...Nilsson is NHL ready backup but instead of sending the Phoniex kid down we send Nilsson down to the Wolves
That allows Nilsson to continue playing and stay fresh in case he's needed. Better to have a backup who has played a game recently than one who had just been sitting on the bench
Nilsson is an NHL ready and compentant replacement just in case something else bad happens to Allen or Elliot.
I welcome the addition! Let's give this man a chance and let's see what he can do. Let's Go Blues!
