"In my opinion, the reason of the low interest of the World Championship is not the level of the hockey, the level is very high, but the lack of hockey knowledge Swedish media and fans possess. Swedes only know Elitserien and NHL, they don’t know anything of Finnish, Czech, Russian, German or Swiss hockey. Anyway, the 2002 IIHF World Championship has started and I will enjoy every minute of it, though being a Swede."
